Christmas in July: All Work No Play… at least I’m away.

July 4th has come and gone. Merry Bright Music team is currently on a work vacation holiday in Atlantic City where for the past few weeks we’ve been living out of suitcases and hotels all over the country to unveil the next soon to be announced release. We have been hard at work. It’s kind of hard to watch all these beautiful people lounging in poolside cabanas and perched underneath beach umbrellas, maxin’ relaxin’. I can’t help but put “GTL” thought bubbles over everyone’s head here but I digress.

If I’m gonna go on a “vacation” and spend the entire time holed up in a hotel suite working – at least I have a really great reminder outside my window. Sometimes you have to give up your beach time, or Fourth of July beers for work. Maybe this is the workaholic in me rearing its ugly head again – or maybe all I have to do is look outside the window to remind me that maybe if I work hard enough, the sky is absolutely the limit.

In the past few weeks, I’ve realized how big this world is – and I’ve got a big job this year.
