Chan’s 6-year-old daughter Noelle is featured on the fun-spirited Christmas album. Chan’s successful Merry Bright Music record label will release the album.
NEW YORK, NY, OCTOBER 20, 2023 — Celebrated as the globe’s sole full-time Christmas recording artist, Elizabeth Chan is adding a new recording artist to her album this season: her bright and merry six-year-old daughter will join her mother on the seven-song LP “Songs From Noelle.” The album will be released on Chan’s Merry Bright Music label.
Aptly named Noelle, her merry and bright daughter even had a hand in writing two of the songs, including the first single, Christmas Time. Other songs on the brand-new LP include Carol of the Ella Bells, Christmas Around The World, Christmas Holiday, and The Santa Clause. Notably, the album features Two Front Teeth, which Noelle curated herself after losing her two front teeth earlier this year.
With a tradition of annual Yuletide releases that has become a cherished part of the holiday season, this year marks her unparalleled 13th consecutive Christmas offering, slated for release on October 20th.
But this year, the album almost didn’t happen. In a heartwarming twist that embodies the season’s true spirit, Chan sheds light on her decision to add her daughter to the mix: “Earlier this year, I broke my spine, and it was physically impossible to record an album on my own. Between the pain and rehabilitation, I was certain this would be the first year I didn’t release a holiday album. My daughter’s unwavering desire to help and her infectious holiday spirit rekindled my passion to make a record.” She adds, “It’s a true Christmas miracle.”
Wise beyond her years, Noelle shares: “Christmas is about giving, and it’s my favorite holiday. It’s not about the presents that Santa gives you. The best part is being together and giving joy & happiness. Most of all, I love helping my mom.”
Chan, who has been crowned and known worldwide as “The Queen of Christmas” by multiple media outlets, including BBC, New York Times, Good Morning America, People, and The New Yorker, is a multiple Billboard charting and award-nominated record producer/artist who focuses exclusively on Christmas and holiday music. Her Christmas songs have appeared annually as top 10 singles on the Holiday and Adult Contemporary charts since 2013.
Reflecting on her journey as a parent and recording artist, Chan notes, “I’ve always embraced the responsibility of spreading Christmas joy to millions and celebrating the spirit of Christmas with everyone. But what I’ve learned is that through my daughters is what Christmas is all about. When you become a parent, you realize that Christmas is really about our children, so it’s been an honor to have Noelle with me on my magical Christmas music journey.”
Since the day Noelle was born, fans affectionately started calling her the “Princess of Christmas.” Chan dedicated an entire album to her arrival called “Songs For Noelle,” Now, as she makes her debut as a recording artist — rising to the occasion to support her mom and ensure she didn’t miss her annual album. “Songs From Noelle,” is fittingly titled given that Noelle had such a big hand in the curation, performing, and writing of the songs on this album. It’s a Christmas music family coming full circle, celebrating creativity, supporting one another, and the true meaning of the holiday spirit.
Since the launch of her debut album, “Everyday Holidays,” Chan has produced 12 albums of Christmas music, featuring multiple Top 20 Billboard hits and a Grammy-nominated spoken word and music album “The Queen of Christmas.” Her work has received critical acclaim and award nominations for her Christmas songwriting and music videos. In 2018, The New Yorker profiled Chan with the title “The Queen of Christmas.” She’s performed on Good Morning America and has been featured in Variety, USA Today, and People, among others. From September to Christmas, Chan and her music are featured on airwaves all over the country.
Chan is also the CEO of Merry Bright Music Enterprises, an independently owned record label which exclusively produces Christmas and seasonal holiday content. The imprint, founded in 2012, has produced 12 albums in multiple languages and released dozens of Christmas singles worldwide. Chan lives with her husband and two daughters in Manhattan. Her daughter Noelle is often featured on Chan’s albums and videos, and is also known as the “Princess of Christmas.” Her catalog of Christmas music now numbers thousands of songs.
