SXSW! Music and Nom Nom Nom!

I love me some SXSW. It’s the BBQ capital and food truck capital of the world. Yet, I would never really know what the BBQ tastes like cause as many times as I’ve been to this gloriously gluttonous event I have never been able to taste the meaty goodness.

That’s because no matter what, during SXSW every year – it’s also Lent. Where I give up meat for 40 days and 40 nights.

That doesn’t mean I didn’t live up to my nickname #snackiechan

That which I give up in smoked proteins, I gain in reconnecting with some of my favorite friends around some sweet eats! 🙂 SXSW is kind of a high school reunion on steroids. Where the drinks and dancing happen every hour, and there is always a familiar face and a new face to meet. It’s always a fun challenge to find some vegetarian meals in Austin. The food scene is really ridiculous and who doesn’t covet a food truck here and there?

Not to mention – I had a “Naughty & Nice” donut. Can you believe that? As if it were made for my tastebuds. Delicious!

This year I had the great fortune to meet with some old and new friends and had quite a fun time between my 4 dozen meetings! There are some big things happening for me and my label this year and can’t wait to share them! 🙂
