What Should I Wear?! :) Ahhh! The @Streamys are coming!

My heart is over the moon! Just got details for The Streamy Awards. Words like “Nominee” “Red Carpet Arrivals” “Live” – these were always words people I worked for, or everyone else used… never me! I’m so excited! The Streamy Awards are the Oscars for Web TV, and are produced by Dick Clark Productions, the same peeps who produce The Golden Globes and the American Music Awards!

In 2011, when I embarked on filming “Failure Club,” I was just a person with a day job looking to write a Christmas song. A little over a year later I have a brand new career in Christmas Music. Letting a documentary crew into my life for a year was tough. Leaving a 10 year career behind to pursue a life long passion was tougher. The road ahead is uncertain and probably the toughest journey I will embark on. However, without that year – I would not be where I am today.

So this milestone, to be nominated for my work for the past year where I’ve grown so much as a person is extraordinarily meaningful.

Sure, I’m going up against some pretty big heavy hitting YouTube people. “A Christmas Song” was a song truly born from and dedicated towards the goal of “Failure Club.” An entire series dedicated on a single song. Pretty special! So thankful and I am truly going to enjoy the ceremony. Even if I never come home with the award, I feel like I’ve already won something.

Humbled, over the moon and so very very excited!
